What we look at

Send the denial letter or the insurer’s estimate, or just tell us what it says. We read it with our Charlotte team at no cost.

  1. 01

    What the insurer relied on

The policy wording, exclusions or conditions the denial letter cites, and whether they fit what actually happened to the property.

  2. 02

    What the estimate leaves out

Line by line, the repairs, materials and rooms the insurer’s estimate prices, set against the damage you have.

  3. 03

    What your coverage provides

The building, your belongings and, where it applies, additional living expenses or business income, with the limits and deductibles.

  4. 04

    Where you stand

Our honest view of whether the decision or the number can be challenged, and whether a public adjuster is the right help. If it isn’t, we’ll say so.

Separate from the free review

If you hire us to challenge it

If the review shows the claim is worth more than the insurer says and you decide to go ahead, we sign a written agreement and take on the claim work for you.

Our fee is a percentage of the claim, agreed in writing before any work starts, and there are no up-front fees.

  • A response to the denial

We set out, with evidence, why the loss should be covered and ask the insurer to reconsider.

  • Our own estimate

A detailed scope and price of the repairs to set against the insurer’s figure.

  • Supplemental claims

Damage found after the first estimate, documented and presented to the insurer.

  • Negotiation with your insurer

We present the claim, negotiate it and keep you informed as it moves.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

Something else on your mind? Ask us at (704) 286-0707, day or night.

My claim was denied. Is it worth a second look?

Often it is. A denial letter gives the insurer’s reasons, and they can rest on a reading of the policy or the facts that does not hold up. The free review tells you whether yours does.

The insurer paid, but not enough to fix the damage. Can you help?

Yes. We compare the insurer’s estimate with the damage and the cost of the repairs, and tell you what may be missing.

I already cashed the check. Is it too late?

Not necessarily. A claim can often be reopened or supplemented after a first payment, depending on the policy, the time limits in it and what was signed. Tell us when you get in touch.

Are there deadlines I should know about?

Yes: policies set time limits for disputing a claim, appraisal and lawsuits. Tell us any dates in the letter when you call. A review request does not extend them.

What does it cost?

The review is free, and you are under no obligation to hire us. If you do, our fee is a percentage of the claim, agreed in writing before any work starts, and there are no up-front fees.

Are you a lawyer?

No. A public adjuster handles the insurance claim for the policyholder and cannot give legal advice. If your claim needs an attorney, we will tell you.
